@Swingfinger more gain on the new stuff i suppose. he may be having issues with the house speakers over powering his moniter. or maybe he is going def from hearing 2:15 everynight. hehe

@Swingfinger well, age of adz has some sick melodies.)
-
his live singing is usually perfect but in a lot of the performances for his new album his has trouble singing the melody.... I wonder what's going on

I never knew about Sufjan until I randomly came across his The Age of Adz album last week. Wow - very glad the musical god of randomness landed me with this guy. :)
Can anyone who is well versed in his extensive back catalogue point me to the next album I should listen to? Can't believe i've been missing out on the fun.

illinois is shit compared to age of adz. But not bad, just in comparison.
-
I agree with the chaotic comment but also realize he can't keep making the same music over and over. Still, the over and over songs are beautiful. And so is he, dammit.
-
thats too bad...i love it... sufjan cant keep making entire albums of pretty banjo songs, you should see this song live....he dances!!!!

This is so chaotic, such a radical departure from the serenity and beauty of Illinois... I don't like it.
I love how he apologizes for his bad chord at 1:14. It makes me smile everytime. :)
I have gotten insanely addicted to Sufjan, and this is my favorite song, I think (though I have several songs of his that I adore). Long live Sufjan Stevens, musical genius! :) <3

@engymaster His most popular album would be Illinoise. It is a good place to start, and it's truly a fanatstic album. Age of Adz is drastically different though. Way more electronic. When it comes down to it, you really can't go wrong with anything by Sufjan. He's genius.
