This is a slideshow from my 2 day hike in the Roosevelt National Forest, just west of the Gross Reservoir near Boulder, CO. I hiked in through Forsythe Gulch, and then up to higher ground on the west side of the reservoir. I hiked out on Forest Service Road 359.
It had been approximately 70+ degrees, but dropped to 20 degrees overnight when a snow storm rolled in. This was my first time camping by myself, so I was a little nervous about the storm. Also, I'm from Chicago so I don't know a lot about high altitude weather. However, even being nervous, this was definitely a worthwhile experience.

This trip was made possible by getting laid off from my job, so I traveled from Chicago to Denver for a few interviews. Does anyone have work for an environmental consultant???!!!

Thanks. I'll be moving to the Denver/Boulder area within the next year. I'm very excited.
