i'm of the camp that thinks art is simply what people make of it, so i think if it's viewed as some evasive mystic thing, then it will sound pretentious when someone declares himself an artist. i don't think it's mystic. i think it's good or bad, and to say you're an artist is just a way to describe what you do. in terms of what Levin expresses, I see it as a curiosity about the world and about ourselves.

I'm of no camp :)

I just think that there is a line ( it can be a subject ti debate where it is) between engineering and art... In my opinion this guy is on the engineer side :)
