Highway 58 Speed Trap Lacrosse VA, Police Abuse of Power On Out of State Tags & Motorists?

Shocking video of the notorious Lacrosse, Virginia speed trap just off interstate I-85.

My out of state tags have been pointed out to me as a probable reason I was unjustly pulled over, on a cops 'word' that he had 'paced' me doing 64 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone, all within a 1/2 mile stretch, where he began the event, over 1/4 mile behind me.

Watch this video of highway 58 in Lacrosse, Virginia, where the officer obviously could NOT have 'paced' me just based on the distance alone, much less the very damning video on the home page of our site, where his radar (or lidar) gun actually dispoves his 'theory' that my cruise control was 'acting' up.

What a crock of B.S. this traffic stop was, on highway 58 in Lacrosse, Virginia.

How many other motorists (with out of state tags, that probably make the chance of them driving back to fight this BS in court slimmer, statistically) have been pulled over for speeding based on a cops 'word' ?

I will bet, monetarily, that number will prove to be HUGE revenue for this speed trap community of Lacrosse, Virginia.

This abuse of police traffic stops is rampant from what I hear on highway 58, and Lacrosse Virginia is notorious for this type of motorist treatment, based on folks I've spoken to.

The fact any police officer can claim this 'pacing' a motorist, while their speed 'gun' sits on the seat next to them, so that the court visit becomes your word against theirs, is so far out of my ability to comprehend the abuse this can lead to, it's mind boggling.

it was dropped because i was not speeding, the dashcam video was requested via FOIA (never provided) n the tickets I was making copies of at the courthouse were very damaging.

Funny how the police chief resigned (or was quietly fired) during all the 'hoopla', n the town lost a TON of revenue from these pacing tickets.

But if election year works for you, stay with that.

I was NOT speeding, and had I not had my camera, I would have had little to say about the lie.

darksyde412 , the case was dropped by the DA Nora Miller, because I WAS NOT SPEEDING.

When i began making copies of all the false pacing charges passed out by the city, she came down to the court house and dropped all the charges.

Funny how that worked out...

every time i get a ticket it is a family affair. Everytime its a game, Everytime i go to court knowing full well even if i had 20 witnesses i will be found guilty i plead not guilty get found guilty appeal wait til my appeal date request a jury trial ... yet another continuance , get my lawyer to continue it.... and basically drag the whole process out for 2 years and have had half of my charges dropped this way ... I have never purchased a sticker a license a license plate or paid a fine.

But glad you got your way and you are not in that area any longer. Have fun with other officers. @sermadness Yea you drive the speed limit one of 2 things happens, You either get your ass rid-in or you get cut off... same if you maintain safe following distance you either get cut off or rid-in. Cops are just there to collect revenue and leech of a paycheck they otherwise wouldn't have anything to take home to their wife and kid cause they are worthless pieces of shit.
