David Cook sings Two Songs by Neil Diamond on American Idol

I absolutely enjoyed the 2 songs that David Cook performed and I loved it so much, and I thought his voice on both of the songs was absolutely brilliant and outstanding. David Cook you're simply the best ever.

It's not good enough to be a great singer. You have to be willing to show you're fearless and versatile. Archie couldn't do that. He was obviously talented vocally, but he was like every other pop artist that has one hit record and fades into obscurity because their marketing and songwriting sucks.

I don't care for his renditions. I'd much, rather listen to Neil Diamond. I'm not saying he's bad, I'm just saying I prefer the original. =Stefan=

All I Really Need is You and The World I Know are my absolute favorite songs DC did and they are the reason he won. He puts so much emotion into a song and changes them up for the better. He has such an amazing voice too!

What a brilliant performance of All I Really Need is You. Breathtaking. David Cook is really the most talented to have ever graced the AI stage. Compare Neil Diamond's original version to Cook's and you'll hear what I mean.

I really, really would love for David C. to win this competiton because in all ways he is the strongest contestant to date on this entire show. He is original, talented, handsome, smart, the whole package. Please, everyone vote. There is no one like him, actually no one close. It shouldn't be let's vote for someone because they are young but let's vote for the most talented, and that is David Cook.

David Cook fans -Lets not be talked out of voting for him. He needs to win because he deserves to win. Don't give up the votes for nothing.

The final 2 contestants have to sing the same song-an original written for finale, with no regard for who they are or what their typeof music is. They sing 3 songs in the finale and that is one of them, then the winner is obligated to make that song their first single. Starting last year, the song is chosen by a contest on the Idol website. I haven't checked them outm but from what others who have have said it is the usual dribble-the kind of stuff David A sings.....

...so your saying a person should win idol because they aren't as good as some of the other contestants...because they need the win to get a better career...?.....wtf...thats like saying that a slower person should win the olympics because the person that "deserves to win" doesnt need the glory or the honor of winning as the best.....
