Feminism also gets in on this. There is a quote by a feminist named Ti Grace Atkison " - Feminism is the theory, lesbianism is the practice" Say what???? I'm not a feminist scholar but even what little I've read I come across these types of statements, usually not that explicit but I get the message. Lesbianism can be as much about power and control over men as any genetic compulsion.  Also check out the many movies that always combine lesbian characters with stereotypical abusive men.
