A comparison between two "After Market" sound decoders that we can install in our existing fleet. The QSI Solution's Revolution in 3642 and a Soundtraxx Tsunami in 3622. These are identical locos, an Austrains C36 -4-6.0, using the same Tony's High Bass HB1.06 speaker installation and using the Tender as the enclosure.
The Revoltion in 3642 has all the same features as the QSI equipped locos from Eureka and Austrains e.g. Heavy Load etc, a C35 Whistle & 6 Function outputs for Headlights, Markers, Firebox Flicker & Cab lights..
The Tsunami has a 7 band Audio Equaliser, selected in the video at "Flat", where the user can enhance the sound of the decoder. For the Whistle, you select one of the 7 available whistles. Use either the Light or K Class Tsunamis. I prefer the selection in the Light. The TSU-1000 has 4 Function outputs while the smaller TSU-750 Micro has 2 functions.
