Gillette Razor Head Shave

Follow up to my visit to the barber's last week where I got my head shaved. I really need to get some colour on the white scalp. At the moment it looks like a light bulb.

Your lucky you have straighter hair because the way you shave if you were black or something you would have hella razor bumps

@swaggachild81 Hi. I know that razor bumps can be an issue but I've shaved my head almost every day since the summer and fortunately haven't had a problem so far. My hair was pretty straight before I shaved it off though so I guess that's why. These days I just shave my head front to back so the top is shaved against the grain and the back shaved with the grain.

Can I just ask - when you start shaving your head with an actual razor blade and gel - does that mean, that you can never go back to an electric shave? - because I would imagine the razor blade would sharpen and toughen the hairs up - that you could no longer go back to an electric shave?

@Rob23 I don't think it makes any difference. I've never shaved my head with an electric shaver but I can't see why I wouldn't be able to after shaving it with a razor and shaving gel. Hair is hair whether it's on your head or on your face and either a razor or electric shaver will always take it off.

@Rob23 you get a closer shave with a razor that is why I changed to a razor from electric a few years back.

I used some warm olive oil which was soothing for me.
