  • thank you so much for posting. This is a great song that I've liked for many years.

  • Brilliant ! Thanks so much for this. I remember watching this on Top Of the Pops. I was so excited when I found out Frankie was going to be on. I was 15. He's still my favourite singer today!

watch jersey boys if your reading this its one hell of a show

  • God TOTP was so ametuerish at times, the poor audience bulldozed out of the way by the camera! But the music was usually great!

  • I just love this song, remember it well from when I was 16 in '76

  • course he puts soul into it, his daughter died doh

  • @eadautremont His daughter died in 1980. This song was recorded long before that. It was used in Jersey Boys to portray the demons his daughter battled that led to her very sad and untimely death. I never can listen to this song without the emotions kicking in. It reminds me of an old romance I had with a girl with a troubled past. Several years ago, I had front row seats right in front of Frankie and he sang this song. You could see the tears in his eyes. My eyes welled up too.

  • I love this music ... but heavens ... I just get a kick out of the hair!

  • Brilliant live performance, Frankie really puts his soul into this song.

  • this song was in jersey boys...never knew his daghter francine passed away from drugs. must of been hard frankie...but thx for the incredible music u guys made.

  • @eadautremont Didn't know the background to this song, but have always thought it one of his finest works. He really delivers. Superb.
