I like your approach to combat even if it is very SCA like. You are much more mobile, and your dressed and armored correctly would be the major difference. That, and you don't fight from your knees or with an arm behind your back.

It is full contact combat as SCA does but the difference is that hits are much stronger in about 10 times. Those swords are steel ones and we do not stop the fights unless there is something against the rules or someone got enough scores. This is a sport man, you cannot compare it to what SCA does :)

I understand that it's steel fighting, and it's a sport for you. Just like the SCA.

So do you score with a certain number of head hits only? Why no body attacks, shield punches, or grappling?

Rules are simple. Head and body - 2 scores, hands and legs - 1 score. No shield bash, no thrusts. Hits - slashes only.

These rules are the same for more than 10 years already. They are safe.

That guys have full protection. Part of it you cannot see because of the identical pents. So you can feel the hits but they do not hurt you, which makes the fight awesome.

I've got some competitions that time! ))

Historical fencing is cool. I've tried to fight in 10 cent Rusian armour once - it was unforgettable.

Good luck in Sudak - it is a nice place as people say.
