This is only some of what our daughter had to endure as a result of MELAS, a mitochondrial disease. It also depicts what it is like for parents dealing with doctors who will not allow the parents to advocate for their child and be reprimanded for asking questions and wanting answers. This is only 1 of many unfortunate encounters with the healtcare system in dealing with a complicated disease.

dude totally know what u went through. i had a lil sister that past and now have a lil brother with the same mitochondrial disorder. my parents never got a break watchin over both of them.

I am sorry for ur loss my little girl just passed 4 weeks ago from mitochondrial disorder complex 3 deficiency she was like your daughter my daughter was blind herbrother aidan passed away last year at age 6 i found a video on here about gracie kenitz she had hbot therapy and she is practically living like a normal child and she was once like our children doctors do not tell us about hbot and i am enraged our children should have had a chance at life and we are denied thatchance

Im sorry im just so sorry i have it my twin has it someday in that beautiful little girls memory we will win the battle against Mitochondrial disease.
