  • Little known fact about snake charmers:

The music that the pipe emits is too high-pitched for the snake to hear, and the movements of the pipe itself keep the snake on its (non-existant) toes; it would bite if the piper stayed still.

  • Very interesting. Thanks for the comment!

  • Also the snake learns to follow the pipe and doesn't strike because it knows the pain associated with striking at the end of the pipe. Honest snake charmers take care of their cobras, in Hindu the snake is a sacred animal but unfortunately non religious entertainers resort to sewing their mouths shut and de-fanging them.

  • Since the snake is related to the devil (shaytaan) that is why air instruments are haram...proof is rite there how the snake (devil) is responding to the evil sound. Now everybody say "Now we know cuz knowledge is power!!"

  • The snakes are deaf to this music. They just respond to the vibrations from ground beneath them. The ground vibrates due to high pitch sound from the musical instrument here.

  • snake charmers...are they everywhere in India?????????

  • Think nothing of it, friend.
