We shouldn't allow same-sex marriage, because children need a mother and father.... even though gay adoption is already legal regardless of same-sex marriage being legal.
Marriage is about procreation, which gays cannot achieve... even if NO state requires procreation and those who don't reproduce can marry!
Gays should not be able to adopt children, because they aren't a mother and father... even if they meet the best interest of the child!
Marriage is about the family: a mom, dad, and children; anything else isn't a real family, deserving of marriage, or equal treatment under the law -- The benefits of marriage should not apply... even if they help the gay family!

My parents didn't get married because of me, they got married because they loved each other. I wasn't even in the picture.
