dude, you must be out of your mind (or ears)....yamaha has a better piano sound and that's it...dude the motif xs has the best guitars hands down. korg guitars are pathetic and cheesy. not to mention the VCM effects are so organic, i sold my guitar rig 3 and put my guitar through motif xs inputs...
motif xs filters sound more analog and organic compared to korg's digital filters.
the interface in yamaha is actually easier for me than korg's! very logic and well thought.

@acetatostereo the fantom g 8 is good, but i have done some extensive research, and the motif came out victorious, so the motif is the go go. but i guess im too late now

go for yamaha XS .... its a betta key than fantom .... bth for live and recording purpose. its has got some gr8 tones in it ....

Ok guys so I need some help on this new decision I have been blessed to make. My band is getting a new board for me and they gave me the choice of the Roland Fantom G series or the Yamaha Motif X series. Any Suggestions or do any of yall have either boards.... con/pros?? lol anything would help

for me Motif Xs is the best workstation/synthesizer for live and studo application. I have Motif XS 8 and this keyboard is the heart of my equipments. (Best sounds..synth and acoustic, Master Keyboards, Audio Card, Remote controller etc...!) bye bye! Manuele!
