i putted my cable in my mac and kaossilator and i changed to sound source to line in , but still it wont work

so what ive read from these questions,you plugged a regualar head phone jack,that can connect to a guitar cable/usb port and plugged into your mac?

The cable that I used is RCA-PIN plug(Stereo Mini Jack)
KAOSSILATOR=RCA-PIN plug
Mac=Stereo Mini Jack

It is Line In of MacBook. However, KAOSSILATOR is not equipped with MIDI. The synchronization
is hand work.
