I just purchased this same coin unidentified, so I had to do the research myself on the internet last night . I started going through the museum photo archives and discovered it was Septimius Severus indeed. I also found a chronological photo catalog of all the coins minted during his rule of 193AD to 211AD. This coin was produced in 194AD, the latin on the back reads COCIIPP which refers to Severus' 2nd counsel position. The woman with the shield is the god Minerva

Hey ya, thankyou for the info that was interesting, do you mind me asking how much you purchased your coin for? Kind regards Si (metaldetectivesofdorset)

The date on your coin is wrong, if it was from 127 A.D then it would have been from Hadrian, your coin is from the early third century...
