On his radio show, Mr. Beck lamented the unAmerican message of Bruce Springsteen's song "Born in the USA."

He was right. The lyrics are totally unAmerican. Listen to Glenn Beck reveal the true meaning behind these lyrics.

  • Yea you are clueless... Springsteen has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to vietnam vet causes while Beck has not done jack shit. Keep listening to beck I could care less. But realize one thing. You will become more ignorant each day. Beck is an idiot. Its well known. You decide what that makes you listening to him.

  • Glenn it was written in 1984 nine years after Vietnam ended. It is a protest song. No watt It is a what do I do now song that I am messed up becuase my country drafted me to send me to fight a war we should not have been in tthe first place. I is a soliders tale. • Ever seen the movie "animal farm" wow!

  • Beck is saying what I feel and know. This country is so screwed up its terrible. they sneak new tricks on us daily called laws and amendments to constitution. Hes saying wake up....were getting shafted. Hes saying the "boss" is right on!

  • how the fuck was that anti-american?

  • I'm pro America but I opposed the Viet Nam war. Admitting our mistakes doesn't make us un American or anti American. It makes us stronger. Now, let's go bomb the crap out of Iran's nuclear facilities!

  • Yeah, being anti-war is un-American. They should make it illegal.

  • Shut the hell up jackass ........ Who the hell are you to say that Born In the U.S.A is unamerican......... that song is very american.... My father fought in the Vietnam War...... Well now we know where you stand...... P.S...... I don't know whats more nuttier........ you or a fruitcake

  • Worst rap cover ever.

  • @LeighMet YOU TELL HIM BROTHER!! When ever someone goes out to tell the truth and show the reality of the consequences of fighting a war that shouldn't have been fought, then that just makes us un americans and commies. People have to wake up! This song is still patriotic in a way, it's just not, baseball, fireworks and backyard barbeques patriotic. Bruce Springsteen is awesome no matter what this hasbeen, Glen Bitch has to say.

  • I first heard this song in 2008 and yes i did mistake it for a patriotic anthem, but then i heard it a second time and it was clear that it is a song about Vietnam. It is sad that He had known about this song for decades and still found out the true meaning after I did!

It isn't unamerican. It is VERY American. Sure it ain't no Yankee Doodle Dandy, but that dosen't mean it's a bad song. It's speaking the truth about war veterans having difficulties adjusting to their new live when they retuened

  • so it took him this long too realise this was a anti American song!

Hey Beck guess what so is team america
