  • Excuse me, but I know kids who ran away at 12 or 13 because their parents were abusing them - one had a frying pan thrown at her head. She'll probably have the scar for the rest of her life. I also know a number of kids who were thrown out for being gay or transgender, and one who was thrown out for being an atheist! This is not a "bleeding heart story," this is real and it is tragic.
