not that she is dramatizing, but she is a true mezzo and tries to sing for high soprano , of course it will be hard for her. I see thousands of mezzos who sing soprano repertoire and ruin their voices, sad. She seems a very nice person, but this is not for her, her voice is heavy because she is mezzo....hope she reads and believes this and changes her repertoire, otherwise she will ruin herself.

La vidi a Roma una decina di anni fa, fu molto brava, e ricordo che concluse quest'aria con un DO lunghissimo... purtroppo ha una voce di scarso volume, che nei teatri grandi la penalizza molto, tanto che il pubblico poco esperto la ritenne "Una delusione"...

To me, this sounds like the wrong rep for her, or else she's singing incorrectly and needs to ease up. She sounds like she's trying to be a dramatic soprano while singing a coloratura aria, and her clarity of pitch and agility suffers for it.

This must be quite a few years ago, as her voice is really very tired now. I've heard her a few times live, the only full opera I heard with her was Don Giovanni. She sang Donna Anna, and though her top actually was quite strong, she was struggling. She knows more about bel canto than most people famed for bel canto, though, and her master classes and such are brilliant. And she's so cute, she's incredibly small!

Non so di quand'è il filmato ma ti volevo specificare che la "ragazzina strafica" la carriera l'ha fatta e ora ha quasi 50anni....
