Why is Chrysler doing so poorly and should it receive a bailout? Why bail out Chrysler when its executives such as Bob Nardelli refuse to change and have made some things worse, while Ford and GM have made tremendous gains and have each changed the way they've done business (JD Powers, Consumer Reports and IIHS all also reflect this). Under this kind of leadership especially given the fact Chrysler received a bail out once already and is now privately owned, continuing to do business and treat customers the SAME therefore Chrysler should not get any kind of BAILOUT.
It's unfortunate too because it didn't have to be this way but executives at Chrysler after Lee Iacocca over the years destroyed Chrysler's reputation and later executives never properly rebuilt it while Chrysler started to lose many who would have been repeat customers and recommended Chrysler autos.
If you are angry, be angry at the executives responsible. Do a google search for "Chrysler Quality", "Dodge Quality", "Chrysler Reliability", "Dodge Reliability", "Dodge Problems", "Chrysler Problems" and more and what do you see? They just let Chrysler's reputation be ruined.
Apparently executives at Chrysler STILL have no clue that over 50,000 people per month are learning the facts before buying and more and more people these days are doing online research before buying. Completely out of touch or incompetent doesn't even begin to describe leadership at Chrysler. Instead they'd rather blame everything on the economy, the credit crunch and gas prices.
