@theyuha Edgar Cayce said that there can be reasons for divorce. If the two divorce but did not complete their task for being married, they most likely will have to come back together to learn, although, not necessarily as married people. Also, since we have many "intimate" partners in various lives, couldn't another soulmated relationship start up if the other ended? Why lose that opportunity if both souls are single as long as the relationship did not break up the marriage?

if you divorced after taking a vow you incurr negative Karma though. Nobody seems to take vows seriously anymore. If you do get divorced perhaps it is a good idea to remain faithful to your spouse by not taking another mate until the partner dies. i realize this is easier said than done.
