  • Yep, that's an Ag Cat. Name comes from Agricultural and Cat comes from the Grumman company's tradition of naming planes after big cats--they made the Wildcat & Hellcat fighters of WWII, the Bearcat & Tigercat fighters that were just coming on line when WWII ended, the Panther jet of Korea, the Cougar (swept wing Panther) right after, the Tiger fighter flown by the Blue Angels for many years, as well as the most famous Grumman cat, the F-14 Tomcat you saw in Top Gun the Navy phased out in 2006.

  • The plane did belong to Coates Flying Service, but now Tommy Owens owns this cat!!

  • I think he is out of Fort Gaines, GA.

  • Hey man, what part of Georgia?? wouldn't be Richard Coates would it?

  • Love the Cats!! Great video.

  • Yep. A turbo prop powered Ag-Cat.
