@ChuckTheSandwichGuy the time limit counted how long it would take for the gate to close, if you stop it from closing at all, like I said, it wouldn't make a difference.

solution:grab gem, throw it under the gate to hold it up. run back to the cage and save the girl. go back again, now with plenty of time to grab the carrot, gem, and finally coins.
