glider not "hang glider"... right?

I appreciate what your doing, If your doing the packaging tape to be creative it's certainly cool, but have you priced out uncertified 1.7oz fabric? It's most likely cheaper than packaging tape.. I think I paid $150 to cover my last plane. Then I used 3M nsf contact cement (which I have been told is the same thing as stewart systems. That was I think $60 a bottle. Lots of guys paint with regular exterior grade latex house paint.. maybe 25 bucks of paint to finish a plane. and it looks g

whats the width and length of those ribs?

Go back and get us some update of how the project is going. Is it flying yet? Get a good still shot of his ribs, lovely truss work.

Any updates to this? I'd love to see the completed aircraft.

so what's the update--did he get it attached to his flyer? What kind of wood does he use?
thanks!

He looks like gentle soul -and creative. Maybe the stripes are using the fibers-reinforced tape. Yeah true it sounds crazy but just now, when i think about it, i touched the stretched plastic covering of the wings of a ULM here (LFBR) and it felt WEAKER than tape actually: it felt like the RC models' Oracover (monokote) type of thing. Wasn't he tempted to use aluminium beams? Is it some light wood? I'm making a small model :D His wings though are very detailed--must be his old aircraft knoldge!
Nice! If packing tape is the stripes on the wings what is the transparent plastic?

Clear packing tape! I know, sounds crazy, but those wings were as tight as a drum. I can't imagine running those what? two inch wide clear packing tape all across those wings each piece overlapping the other. That has got to take patience, and a heck of alot of time. Eric has both. And was a WW2 aircraft restorer for over twenty years.
