Yes. It's called "cycles." People in the U.S. government release the secret to about 10 people every year.

For permutation, just visual (weird shapey things, as Leyan Lo describes it). I could never get to finding out the numbers as fast as I remembered the pieces. Then again, EP is my worst step... For CO I use the system described on my website, and EP involves the regular algs...
