The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Ahdarji's Heirloom

Speak to any beggar in Leyawiin and you will be told that Ahdarji lives on the west side of town (she actually lives on the east), goes to the Three Sisters' Inn in the evenings, and eats her midday meals at the Five Claws Lodge. Find her at one of those locations, and speak to her.

Ahdarji tells you that an Argonian named Amusei (remember him?) stole the ring. She wants you to kill him and get her ring back. Of course, you can't kill him since he is essential until The Ultimate Heist is completed, so she says to at least make him suffer.

Talk to a beggar to find out where Amusei is. Pay one of them and you learn that he was arrested for trying to swindle Alessia Caro, the Countess of Leyawiin. You also find out that the guards accept bribes to allow people to visit prisoners. Head to the castle dungeon and talk to the jailor. He tells you that "dirty lizards" aren't allowed to have visitors per the countess' orders; however, 20 gold quickly changes his tune. Picking the lock to the dungeon is also possible, though the lock is level-dependent. If you don't even want to do that, pickpocket the guard and steal his dungeon key. Go downstairs, and ask Amusei where the ring is. He questions why he should tell you. Bribe him with a lockpick, and he reveals that the ring didn't originally belong to Ahdarji, but rather to the countess. After stealing it from Ahdarji, he tried to ransom it back to her and was arrested. The ring is now in the hands of the countess.

the ring isnt in the box!! haha even when i go in there when she is sleeping she is still wearing it and when i go to pick pocket she wakes up!!!

I'm having a problem where I have 2 copies of the ring, and the quest says I should bring it back to Ahdarji but when I talk to her, it only gives me the options to say "I don't have it yet." and "Amusei tried to sell it back" please help -.-

Nevermind found one, if you have the same problem heres how i fixed it.

Go to the dining room at 10-11pm (when everyones having dinner) attack the countess, pay your fine, go in and she should be on her way to bed, wait a bit and then go

I robbed a few stores and castles before the first mission, fenced over a grand already.

And as for lock picks, do nocturnals mission to get the skeleton key, its an unbreakable pick that boosts security skill. Take the road out of leawyn on the west and follow it up.

Now, im having a problem with this quest, I did sanguines first and Hildara Mothril is dead, the quest will not end and the countess just sits in the dining room eating all day, does anyone know a way around this?

Woo thanks for the vid! I tried everything..then by the video realized I was in the wrong castle. XD "I'm sorry, but the princess is in another castle!" FUUUU

Anyway to those with glitches, get a companion pet/person that fights. Then press ~ and type: tgm After that, all you have to do is waltz right in. You'll get like a 5 gold bounty for tresspassing, but the companion will do all the killing and agro, leaving your record clear. Now you can just 'take the ring' from wherever it is located.
