Obama welcomes healthcare deal for the holidays

President Obama is optimistic hell get health care reform for the holidays, but he insists differences must be worked out. Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman has emerged as the Democratic Partys main obstacle to get health care legislation through the Senate before Christmas. The president spoke to small business leaders, contractors, and environmental groups at a Home Depot in Alexandria, Va. on Tuesday, calling for new federal incentives to make millions of homes more energy efficient. On Monday, Obama met with the nations top bankers and asked them to help rebuild the US economy, but critics are questioning the impact of such a meeting.

The first thin politicians need to do it they want to sell the public on an issue is to apply it to themselves as well as the public.
