LiberalViewer I would like to point out a few things.

1) Not all southerners were/are racists.

2) Racism doesn't stop at the Mason/Dixon line NOR is it in inclusive to the GOP.

3) Facts are facts and LBJ himself was grateful to GOP congressmen for their help passing the legislation.

4) Try to think outside party lines. Democrats aren't what they claim to be. I USED to be a Democrat until the 90's.

I worked full-yime in Sen. Hart's 1984 camaign.

I know for a fact Hart would surely of won the Presidency in '88, but too many of our citizens are ignorant.

Hart has always been an intellecual person & it was this countries loss in '88 for their BS subconscious Puritan beliefs! And that' a fact...

yer: No, I never said anything of the kind. Bush was a bad pres; unpopular/unnecessary war, bad economy, profligate spender, etc. But IMO Obama won not because the country has permanantly shifted Left...he won because Bush/Reps did such a lousy job.

Re Maher I've listened to him plenty. The guy's got Bush Derangement Syndrome...big time. I've heard him take some shots at the Left too, but...he was 100% in Obama's corner during the campaign.
