Sandbox only gives me jagged razor lines everywhere, not skin

@chair5432 The objects that you intend on making skins with should be similar in shape
btw where did a thousand of my views go? WTF

Its not really a matter of where, rather you just type in the plane and then '-3 views' go under images and ypu'll find your three views
Although there are some dedicted sites that have 3-views for almost every plane
Thanks for the comment
Hope I was able to help

It's under Draw/Sandbox/Form Contours
Sorry I did not include it, this method of forming 3D planes is kinda shitty in my opinion, the best way is to get a CAD program capable of creating "shells" or simulating an actual skin.
Still on Sketchup you can do this (with luck) you have to have the joining sides equal to each other to make a face. You can also use the follow me tool to create cones and such.
Cheers

It is Google Sketchup 7, it's free just type it in on google
There is actually many ways to create 3D objects, like the follow-me tool where you can make tubular fuselage shapes like say a glider's shape.

ragder13-- usually you can just type in "model name + 3 view" in the internet look at images and you should find something.
There is another way to create a 3D airplane in sketchup as well (well there are many ways) its a rough way of making one but basically you take all 3 views, you create them as a face, then extrude them all and then find a common part (like the prop hub) and join them all together, theres an option like interface or something where it wil join the surfaces then simply trim
