For 1943 the big plane can be shooted from behind with no probs.
For 1949 turn 180º both planes and spam the venom gas in order to take out the plane. Once this is done you can take the ballons down one by one turning 180º once you are close to them. Repeating the same thing 3 times with both planes you take each of them. Remember to adjust the length of the travels as if you get too close you will be shooted. Good luck with the 4 stars.
