Arise, you, O children of the light, to praise the Lord of Hosts, that He may grant us the salvation of our souls. When we stand in the flesh before You, take away from our minds the sleep of forgetfulness, and grant us alertness, in order that we understand how to stand up before You at the time of prayer, and send up to You the appropriate doxology, and win the forgiveness of our many sins.

This video shows how a Christian should pray as i was taught from my Father of Confession.

  • If our worship is directed to the unseen Allah, why face idols during prayer? Can't we stear away from idolatry and worship only the Father as Jesus Christ taught?

  • @malikalkindy we don't worship the icons, they are visual aids of what is seen in heaven, each icon is a written account of the life of a saint... Jesus Christ taught that he and the Father are one in the same :)

  • can one become an orthodox christian.....how.......i would like to know very much how to pray in detail....

  • @MrCalathea Find your local orthodox church and ask to be baptized :) +++

  • What's the name of the second chant in this video? It's beautiful.

  • What I have shared with you and your viewers are what I trust and believe will strengthen us all in our Faith in God and His Only Begotten Son and Saviour Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. May Almighty God guide us all to know Him as He has revealed Himself to us All for All times and Eternity. May the Love of Christ fill our mind's, soul's and bodies with All we need to sustain us against the enemies of our soul. I share All in the Love of Christ. Foprgive me a sinner if I at all offended you!

  • I loved the video Greek Orthodox Christian Byzantine by Kabarnos in Hagia Sofia the Mother Church of ALL Orthodox Christians.

  • Egypt was and is today Christian. It was Christian for 629 years before talse teachings and practises entered the country. All Mohammadans will someday come to the knowledge of the True God and Saviour Christ Man and will bow down in worship and Thankgiving to Him Alone and His Father and Holy Spirit. One God in Three Persons, for those with eyes to see and ears to hear. May we ALL keep them in our Prayers.

  • Orthodox Christians are not legalistic in their beliefs or practises . As Orthodox Christians we are commanded to worship God with our every breath. Only the Monks in Monasteries pray non-stop for All Orthodox Christians and All of Mankind who cannot keep this rule of prayer. Your video has some controversial and erronious facts. Orthodox Tradition forbids rosaries which are foreign to us. This may confuse your viewers. This is a Roman Catholic Tradition. We have Prayer Ropes and not rosaries.

We worship One God and His ONLY Begotten Son and Savior Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit. All are ONE with the Father. God became Incarnate in the Person of Jesus Christ who is One with the Father. Just as the Holy Scriptures, the Inspired Word of God reveal to us. This is difficult for Mohammadans to accept: That Jesus Christ is the God-Man. He took on Human nature and still retains His Divinity. Christ is the ONLY Saviour of All Humanity.
