8 days on the streets of London

No wonder people get killed

A crash I have not uploaded but it has left me with spine and neck damage after another tourist walks out in front of me in the cycle lane (which incidentally was green - years ago but the local council don't maintain it) There is little provision for cyclists. The cabs, buses and lorrys do not give damn about us. I see Boris Johnson often cycling. In the mornings headed away from his work place where it is more quiet he does not wear a helmt. From work he wears ne yet for his cycle scheme it's not a requirement - that's handy Boris, saves having to provide them for your expensive white elephant that is going to get a lot of people killed. Cycle shemes work in Amsterdam where they respect and are are more cautious with cyclist and actually make them a priority by having designated cycle lanes but over here in the UK we are thirdrate roadkill.

Watch the statistics, wait and see. I see new riders on the road that are going to die because they can't ride and think he traffic cares

London is a very dangerous place for biking and I wouldn't wisah it on anyone, It, for me is a requirment to get to work. If the traffic does not kill me then the pollution will.

Boris johnson says cab drivers and buses are ore aware of cyclists now. I strongly disagree. It is dreadful out there and the uninitiated on a bike are n for a deadly and nasty shock

  • slow down dont jump red lights

  • @TheDannybrown2 I am going slow and do stop at red lights

  • Wow- most of this is just really bad cycling. Overtaking buses on the inside, unnecessarily cycling right up to a clearly-u-turning-taxi or a taxi thats already half way pulled out. I'm a fellow London cyclist and agree with other comments that these situations could be avoided by a little more anticipation and common sense. I only hope the weight of opinion will prompt a change in attitude.

  • @drbosnovich I bet I live longer than you on a bike ! I'm a PRO ! learn to ride !

  • what happened at 1:00

  • am i the only one that can see the bus is stationary at a set of lights.

The taxi u turning yes he had the right of way and it was the cyclist who should of stopped. But dumb people walking in the road is a regular in London, especially empty roads as people seem to think just because you can't hear traffic that the road is clear.

I have great insight and like to ride just wide enough that i won't hit them but close enough to think their gonna get hit, evil but effective.

  • @CuttyBadmanz

Couldn't have put it better myself:)

  • You have a staggering lack of anticipation: it's like you're cycling autistic!

Don't filter left of buses you bloody idiot- what do buses do? turn left and pick people up.

the fact you've put this video up shows lack of self awareness: I'm NOT trolling I don't want to see anyone hurt that is all!

  • I'm a cyclist and I don't think your road sense is too good, just because you have right of way doesn't mean you can behave like an arse

  • @DeathOnWheels1969 You might be able to ride fast, that doesn't make you a pro london cyclist.... most of the stuff in this video could be avoided by understanding your surroundings. anticipation is the key. a cyclist once said to me, riding is a bit like walking through waterloo station in peak hour, if you can walk through without adjusting your stride to counter other peoples actions, then you are doing well

  • Your a bit of a spaz mate, and judging by the comments your getting no one else supports you. Walk, or move out of London, you cant ride around in the busiest city in the UK on a push bike (badly) and complain its dangerous. Do you have a car or bike licence? cos your understanding of the road is fairly poor. 0.39 proves this 1.09 backs it up 1.17 you pull out of the cycle lane without looking over your shoulder to abuse the taxi. Your a muppet and give many other riders a bad name. R.I.P. mate

  • mostly your fault, stick to walking LOL

  • *Pop* Slowly turns around, "WTF was that?"

  • Quite a few haters here; too bad.
