Here's a song for our homeless brothers and sisters. When I first moved to Southern California in 1983 I was blown away by all the homeless people I met. The effect they had on my life and my songwriting at the time was profound. I got involved with an organization called Frontline Foundation which fed the homeless down on Skid Row in Los Angeles. For a privileged white boy from the Pacific NW, this was quite an eye-opener. When you look into the eyes of a hungry child you are changed. I've never been the same since. Sadly enough this song written eleven years ago, is as topical today as it ever was. Maybe even more so. . .
