7th July 2007 saw 7 Scout Explorer teams from Northumberland starting a 2 day event to mountain bike, canoe from the Scottish borders to Tynemouth over 100 kilometers. The teams would also have to complete in archery, obstacle courses and rifle shooting. The winning team a Allen Valleys explore unit were more than 1hour 30 minutes ahead of the 2nd place team.
