Without question one of the greatest trotter/pacesr of all time was a horse named Earl Jr. Known as an iron horse, he raced 12 years and set numerous records. Retired at age 15 he was such a fan fave that he came out of retirement at the age of 18 in 1923 and raced guideless against cars, and won. Still researching the Wallace yearbooks, I've so for found over 161 wins. They don't make horses like that anymore.
