Lick of the Week 63- The Phrygian Dominant Scale Part3 (Latin-Rock Acoustic Soloing)
to download the tab and the backing track click here http://www.theodoreziras.com/lick/Lick63.zip
Lesson Description:
Memorize the Pattern of the E Phrygian Dominant scale that I am showing you on the video
(see the tab below). Then you can solo over the backing tacks, the tempo is 140bpm.
The chords are:
Emajor (E G# B) 1st degree of E Phrygian Dominant Scale
Fmajor (F A C) 2nd degree of E Phrygian Dominant Scale
G# dim (G# B D) 3rd degree of E Phrygian Dominant Scale

Target the root (E) and the third (G#) notes and enjoy this adventurous scale.
Try to play melodies and avoid to just running the scale up and down the neck.

Dont forget. Always practice with a metronome. There is no point to play fast and sloppy.
