Yim Tin Tsai island in the Sai Kung district of Hong Kong.

http://www.yimtintsai.com/Hakka_Culture_en.html

Yim Tin Tsai 鹽田仔 translates literally to 'Little Salt Field' because of the presence of the once-used salt farms. This is where my dad's side of the family was from and the island was occupied entirely by the Hakka Chan clan. The island has been desserted since the 1990s as the Chans emigrated away from Hong Kong or simply moved onto land. Now the island is being promoted for tourism use.

The end of the video is just my grandma and my aunt breaking the shells off the winkles we picked up from the island's beach.

  • @ChinaGirl903 Haha, that sounded so cruel. I think they'd be ok. Realistically speaking, I did cook in my parents' take-away and nobody died so it must be ok hehe.

  • @JHEEntertainment ~ food is food am i right ? anyway...can test on my two girls first...lol if they not drop down dead as a door mouse then i be ok....:))))))))))......hehe

  • @ChinaGirl903 Haha, no I like to cook, I'm just concerned about your safety. Like I said before, only my brother, two of my cousins, and one of my uncle's have tried my cooking (and of course myself). Anyone else might think my food is lethal haha. Still want to take the risk?

  • @ChinaGirl903 ~ I'm a wise chinese girl lol...you will cook befor hand and bring it with us to your nice island :)))))))))))))))))...heheh you're doing the best to get out of cooking...lmao guys are all the same ....JK

  • @ChinaGirl903 That's difficult because the houses are all empty now. But there is a leisure kiosk on the island anyway so they can cook for you haha.

  • @JHEEntertainment ~ good can have some of you're awesome cooking teehee :))
