I have a old bendix it worked good for awhile intel it quit getting sound so I replaced all of the vaccum tubes with new old stock ones from tube depot but the radio still would not get sound so im paying a shop to fix.

@aliendaddy32 I think that's terrible..what kind of a father are you? My dad used to let me sniff stain at least 6 or 7 times a day! ; ) Seriously, thanks for this series, it's done for the average guy.

It's great to see other people like myself involving their children in the hobby of radio restoration and repair. My two assistants are 5 and 8 years old. They spent the most time restoring my 1947 Fada TV. Keep up the great job!!!

I was actually going to cut the stain-sniffing out, fearing that folks might think I am kind of a freaky parent, but it was too cute, and just too much like him. Besides, he doesn't sniff stain more than a couple of times a day.
