I shimmed my gearbox using a different technique. 10,000 rounds in 2 days with zero gear wear, great result I got shimming the bevel gear first....using the motor pinion stationary gear as the starting point for my V3 minigun gearbox.

  • Very nice vid. That explains why you people, including myself...after shimming a gearbox, a regular battery wont turnover your gun. It just clicks, you cant quite get the motor adjusted right. GREAT VIDEO!

  • @cesdog27 thanks man appreciate it, hopefully some folks will abandon the old spur gear method and learn how to shim the box this way, and avoid headaches....little tricky to get the hang of it, but once you do....out with the old in with the new.

  • So you start with the pinion/bevel gear...Then would I go to the spur, and then the sector?

  • @UGotKilledByACamper thats exactly correct, the most important gear meshing in an airsoft gearbox is the motor's pinion to the bevel gear, If you get that right, the gearbox will rip super smooth

  • MIKE u should get a dual sector gear for your mini gun cause they can bring your rof to 3600 rounds a minute making it way more realistic

  • @theblind1s Thats what I want....dual sector
