  • @KevinR3i we do, that's one of the reasons i converted to Catholicism.

  • Some news for protestants. I'm on the finance committee for my local parish. We are not rich. We get no "secret" funds from the Vatican. We barely have enough to help support our homeless shelter and keep the lights on. I am also familiar with the finances of several parishes in our diocese....the same story. Where is all that secret Vatican money? I think maybe it doesn't exist except in some peoples' heads.

  • @kvn276 SO WHAT IF THEY FEED THE POOR? BUT THEY DONT FEED THEIR Soul and spirit with Gospel!

  • @DelBluenose80 you know what, yes theres no point of continuing because you already brained-washed by anti-catholic prejudice, theres many things in the internet that are not true and to make people hate in the Catholic Church. The Church might be able to raise a couple of billion dollars by selling everything but that would soon be gone and the world would not be much better off. Especially if mankind does not change for the better. You really need to stop seing those hate videos and websites.

  • @kvn276 If thats what you believe then there is really no point in continuing our chat, The Vatican hold many many very rich business interests across the planet. This is a very rich and powerful organisation my friend and its wealth stretches far beyond works of art and charity contributions. Open your eyes

  • @DelBluenose80 Please, do really think that the Church is rich??!! do you know were does the pope live?!!! he lives in a small apartment, with no TV, no stereo and very little personal items. The only rich about the Vatican is its ART inside Vatican collected over hundreds of years, most of the money that the Vatican gets goes to Charity and helping developing this world, you can't imagine how much the Church has help. You should be thankful for everything good they have done.

  • @DelBluenose80 You are very confuse, the authorities/queen of Spain, sent a petition to the pope so that he could approve it, but the whole inquisition was not mainly to torchure "heretics" it was to catch the muslims/jewish people who converted to Catholicism to get advantages that catholics had, but the system was secular not from monks. The church only did trials and they were given chances, and if then handed to the authorities.

  • @kvn276 And you say that the Church has done more good than bad! How can you say that when the CC sits on a fortune that would go quite some way to erradicating third world debt. A point worth noting as most of the church's followers live in abject poverty within the third world in south america, africa and asia!

How anyone can be an apologist for this organisation is beyond me. They operate as a bloody protection racket and frankly its sickening and has been for hundreds of years

  • @kvn276 dont try and be to clever. You are correct in saying the authorities carried out the executions, only because the church could not be seen to be carrying out such acts. They were handed over to the authorities by the church after horrific torture on the understanding these people were to be put to death. Lets not try and be cute about it, the church knew they were sending people off to their deaths.

  • @DelBluenose80 I'm a Catholic Apologetic and researcher and I know what I'm talking about, in fact, I was agnostic until I discovered the truth. The Vatican has done more good than bad, that's a fat FACT, even many atheist donate to the CC because they know that we focus on world development, even the CC was the one that founded the College system. The Inquisition was a really bad thing, but the truth is that the governments of that time were the ones managing executions, not the church
