Marlon Coffman was the winning bidder in an auction to benefit Justin Imhof who's recovering from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash during the 2010 Baja 1000. The winner got to ride shotgun alongside Team Canidae racing driver Scott Whipple during the 2011 Laughlin Leap.
Best wishes to Justin for a continued and speedy recovery! The brave young man was doing what he wanted to do, and is to be admired for his post-accident tenacity. However; the poor parental choice made in allowing a minor like Justin to engage in this dangerous sport, in a 3rd. World country like Mexico, hundreds of miles from any truly civilized medical care was nothing short of moronic. Naturally, Justin would want to compete, but parents have a duty to protect their children from themselves.
