Marcel Dupré plays "Crucifixion", the third movement from his own Symphonie-Passion at St. Ouen, Rouen. Dupré was 79 years old when this recording was made in 1965.

  • Marcel Dupre was en is een geweldig groot componist en organist die werken met echte diepgang schreef. "Crucifixion" is een prachtig werk uit de Symphonie Passion, dat altijd diepe (godsdienstige) gevoelens oproept.

  • One of the greatest historical recordings on this famous organ ever! I'll never forget hearing this recording as as 21 year old. Still my favorite.

    Nobody has come to its equal, IMHO!

  • When you think this was recorded in 1965, it means Dupré was 79. Technique and discipline keep you fit until old age.

  • The Master himself ! Couldn't be better !

  • A fascinating historical recording.

  • Very passionate, from the composer himself. Very beautiful.
