Too fast for my taste and I think the 1st piano starts out the moving section too loud for mf, the contrast between it and the marked forte part (when the other piano comes in) seemed minimal.
the ashkenazy/previn recording of Les Larmes is the gold standard. these fellows play relatively fast, but the piece is really about broad contrast and dynamics and they got that right.
Very good version. But Rachmaninnov write a note where he say the pianists have to cry while they play this piece... only in this way is possible to feel the secret that this music keeps inside.
