Art photos of Cher from the cd release of Bittersweet: The Love Song Collection. Along with her song "Don't Ever Try To Close A Rose" written by Ginger Greco. This song first appeared on the "Foxy Lady" album (1972) Cher's 8th solo album. This album was produced by Sonny Bono and Snuff Garrett as this song was. It was arrainged by Marty Paich. Sonny who ended up fighting with Snuff Garrett over Cher's recording direction was so involved that he took the cover photo for the album. It also includes the tracks, "Song For You," and "Living In A House Divided" (see my videos for these two on this channel) which peaked at #22 on the charts and another "Don't" song, "Don't Hide Your Love" which peaked at #46 on the Hot 100.
It was included as an extra track on the 1999 release of "Bittersweet: The Love Song Collection.
Which included her 9th solo album "Bittersweet, White Light and nine other tracks from various Cher albums. I also have video's I made for two of the extra tracks from the "Bittersweet: The Love Song Collection," "David's Song" and "It Might As Well Stay Monday."
The title of the album was "Foxy Lady" which is not a track on the album but a comment of Cher.
Such a 70's term...

  • Sonny Bono and Rory Emerald were in the studio when Cher recorded "Don't Ever Try To Close A Rose." Strong vocals and touching lyrics.

  • Thanks for the comment, now who is Rory Emerald?
