Pugachev's Cobra

Su-30 performing Pugachev's Cobra. The Pugachev's Cobra (or Pugachev Cobra) is an aircraft manoeuvre. It is a demonstration of the pitch control authority, high angle of attack (AOA) stability and engine/inlet compatibility at high angles of attack of the aircraft. The manoeuvre allows for very quick turns which can make an attack fail or put the pilot in a position to execute an attack.

"until now"? Russia does have some awesome pilots, no doubt, viktor p. was no doubt one of these. The MiG v Sukhoi is the better debate. An airwar in the now would be fought from 1,000 of miles away and yes it would most likely be ugly especially considering that the raptor and sukhoi are such beautiful planes,

Russians make great planes and pilots!  Less frills than western counterparts but often better performance. It's interesting to see how the US and Russia branched out from the same basic stolen nazi technology. The only reason the US has dominated migs until now is that hey are flown by green middle eastern pilots, not Russian topguns. Hopefully we never see that airwar it will be ugly on both sides.
