The Music is Hush - Fired Up

Michael Jeffrey Jordan: Air, His Airness, Superman, M.J.

Elmsley A. Laney High School (Wilmington, North Carolina)

- Cut from varsity team as a sophmore, at 5'11" he was thought to be too small for the competitive level of play. Over the following summer Jordan trained day in and day out to become the best he possibly could be. That summer Jordan grew 4 inches and returned to school ready to begin his legacy...Michael made varsity his junior year and returned even more determined as a senior averaging 29.2 pts, 11.6 rebs, 10.1 assists and earning a spot on the McDonald's All-American Team and an eventual scholarship to North Carolina where he would major in Cultural Geography. University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill)

- Jordan was named ACC Freshman Of The Year in 1982 and to add to his rapidly growing resume Jordan hit the game winning shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game against a Patrick Ewing led Georgetown team. In 1984 Michael Jordan was named the Naismith and Wooden College Player of the Year before deciding to skip his senior year of elegibility and enter the NBA Draft where he would be selected 3rd (Behind Houston Rockets - Hakeem Olajuwon, and Portland Trailblazers - Sam Bowie) to the Chicago Bulls. The 1984 selection of Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan has been sited by many as the biggest blunder in draft history.

College Stats:

Games: 101 - 17.7 Pts/gm - 5.0 Rebs. - 2.1 Assists - 1.7 Stls. - .7 Blks - 54% FGs - 75% FTs

NBA Career

Early in Jordans career he would establish himself as one of the most recognizeable athletes in all of sports and eventually one of the most recognizeable men in the world. Some try to argue Jordans legacy was more owed to his marketability than to his actual abilities on the court. However there isnt much room for their arguement when someone takes the time to look over what Jordan accomplished throughout the career of the man ESPN named as #1 in their "Greatest Athletes of the 20th Century". Rather than go on and on I would prefer to just run down some of Jordans accomplishments:

  • @YaCantJudgeMe no he definately deserve better song but the genre is perfect

  • Terrible music choice. MJ is better than this garbage.

  • @cdbleb3 Back when you could taunt a player on the court. Back when skill was 100 percent necessary. Back when the best player in the league had such fucking skill. Back when times weren't just about the flash, but was about making someone look stupid by bulldozing past them or dunking over the top of them. Yeah Everything now is mediocre. Say goodbye to the 80's and 90's and say hello to the era of laziness.

  • @cdbleb3 OWNED
