The ex-California Western (a.k.a. Skunk Train) M200 railbus made a rare excursion appearance on the Niles Canyon Railway, so I showed up and took some videos.

M200 is leaving Sunol going backwards on the first clip. It is leaving Niles on the second clip. The third clip is at the Farwell Bridge, built in 1896.

  • What a beauty!! It runs so smooth... Thanks a lot for this video!

  • To neomrdo: If you were there around 1961 - 62, I might have watched as you rode by. I lived two blocks from the tracks in Willits and would venture down there and walk down the tracks quite often.

To cchan006: Thanks for all of your nice posts... and MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all.

  • I remember riding this from Willits to Fort Bragg on the Skunk RR when I was a kid.

  • Awesome good railfan video.
