I really don't know yet. I've played with a few MPC's, and I like 'em. The main thing I'm lookin' for is a good workstation keyboard, like the Yamaha Motif, KORG Triton, etc. Something that I can use as a MIDI controller but also for a lot of their sounds ... then just track it out in Cubase or something like that. I have an M-Audio Delta 1010LT PCI card/interface, which includes MIDI I/O, so that's not a problem. =)
I never said software was better than hardware. =P FL is underestimated. Is it commercial quality? No, I don't think so. Is it a lot more powerful than a lot of people think? Yes. Maybe I misunderstood. But not everyone can afford the hardware. And you gotta start somewhere. I'm in the process of upgrading to hardware, too. LoL. =)
ROFL, if you say so "son". =) Believe me ... I know. I wasn't talkin' shit about what you said. Again, everyone has their favorite software/hardware. It's not what you use, it's how you use it. Ask any REAL producer and that's what they'll tell you. That is, as long as they're not afraid to REALLY get to know a software just because of its name. So get your facts straight, man. =P
FL doesn't ALWAYS have that "crappy sound". It depends on the sound samples you use. It's cool though. Everyone has their favorite software/hardware. =)
