Howard County police say 7-11 is offering a 25-thousand-dollar reward for information about the fatal shooting of a clerk at a store in Columbia.

Police are pitching in five-thousand dollars, meaning someone who leads investigators to the killer could net 30-thousand total.

The 40-year-old clerk was shot shortly after three o'clock this morning at the 7-11 in the 5700 block of Columbia Road. She died at Shock Trauma. Her name has not been released.

Police say a man outside the store called 9-1-1. He said he heard a gunshot inside and saw a masked man run from the store toward Route 108.

John Henrehan reports.
