He kelly - looks like its been a few yrs since this video. Ive had the same actually much worse on same leg for the past 6 yrs - ive recently been discharged from hospital again and decided to look up other cases and came accross your video. Thanks for sharing and I truely hope your leg has improved because I do know how painful it can be - even with weight loss of 68 #s I still have issues with Lymphedema. Good Luck Kristi from Vermont

Its the oddest thing I replied to this but now it is gone. I would think she would see an improvement within 10 days. From the case I had where they put me in the hospital it was a full 6-8 wks before it was healed. I was in the hospital for 9days & I hurt the whole time I was in there so it could be longer than 10 days. If it gets worse though I would take her back to the hospital at some point they are going to keep her. I hope she is doing better now!! God bless!

She has only been diagnosed for two weeks but has had it for 1 month. Yes, he's been treating her and she has shown no improvement. I took her last night to the hosp. and they did give her IV anti. and sent her home. She is in an enormous amount of pain since we got home from the hosp, so, she's taking double the pain killers. When did you start to see improvement? Thank you so much for your input

Wow I'm sorry to hear that! Waiting to go to the hospital when she sees puss is crazy! A sign of puss indicates a much more serious infection. She needs to change doctors if he's telling her that. Is he treating her with antibiotics? She should be seeing some relief from it if she's been treated for a month. If not she may want to go see an infectious disease doctor or go to the hospital & one will see her there. Good luck, I hope she feels better soon!

My mother has been fighting cellulitis for about a month and will not go to the hosp. When would you say it's time for her to go? Her doc told her not to go until puss is coming out of her leg. I feel that she is way pat due. What did yours look like when you went to the hosp? Hers is swollen, red, itchy, and very painful.

well kelly. Sorry to hear that you are having complications but it can be much worse. Both of my legs developed cellulitis from surgery and the wounds have since gone necrotic leaving large holes. Today I was also taken in for another emergency surgery to debride the wounds and install a wound V.A.C. system.
keep up the good fight and hope you feel better.
Hey! I've just been diagnosed with Cellulitis, I fell down some escalators, with major gashes to my leg...wow, your leg looks so similar to mine. I hope you are doing ok!

Hi there! I'm so sorry to hear that you fell down and that you got cellulitis! I sure hope it all clears up soon for you. My legs are actually much, much better...I just did a video showing how small they are now. I had gastric bypass surgery and have lost nearly 90 lbs. and it has made all the difference in the world. Thanks for the comment. Take care!

Just wondering what kind of surgery did you have? I sent you an email too.

Usually with a light case within a couple days but the case that sent me to the hospital I hurt for a good 6 wks. The iv antibiotics should give her a good kickstart. If she had it 2 wks prior to going to the doctor then the antibiotics may need more time to fight the infection. The hospital would not have sent her home if they were worried. Just have her watch her temp & if it gets high take her back to the hospital. Good luck!!
